Newport Heights
One of the best places to find ocean view condos and homes under $1 million, Newport Heights is a place that can actually be enjoyed on a budget. As you prepare to find a home in this area, do not automatically assume that every place will be too rich for your blood. With the housing market in its current state, there are quite a few lovely homes below seven figures. You may even be able to qualify for a short sale home if you get with the right real estate agent and present a strong but competitive offer.
Kings Road
This legendary street overlooks the Newport Bay and Pacific Ocean and offers the best ocean views you can find in Newport Beach – kingly views if you will. Therefore, it is no surprise that many of the homes in this area sell for north of seven figures. The ocean front is perhaps the greatest amenity, but it is not the only one, so when you make an offer on these homes, make sure that you have the funds to back it up.
Spyglass Area
The Spyglass area of Newport Beach are homes that sit majestically at a top of the hill and overlook the Pacific Ocean. If view is better than proximity, then you cannot do any better than the aptly named Spyglass Area. Amenities are plentiful, and the neighborhood is private without being removed, reserved without being boring.
Wherever you choose to call home, you will stand a much better chance of getting the best price by first dealing with a real estate agent, who is familiar with the area and experienced in his field. Do not try to go “for sale by owner” here. The players are too involved, and it can be a very unruly environment for someone with limited business knowledge. But with the right agent by your side, one of these wonderful landscapes can be your next home.
